Willian tears up his Arsenal contract

Arsenal forward, Willian is willing to tear up his £240,000-a-week deal contract with the club which will enable the former Chelsea star sign for Corinthians on a free transfer, according to Sky Sports.

Willian left Chelsea for Arsenal only a year ago but has struggled to find his form scoring just one goal in the Premier League, and Arsenal have been actively looking to offload him over the summer.

The Brazilian, the second highest earner at Arsenal still has two years left to run on his current deal behind Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Sky Sports reports that the 33-year-old has informed the club’s board that he will tear up his contract with the club and sign for Corinthians in the next 48 hours which will save Arsenal around £20million in wages, while he will also take a 70% wage cut in order to return to his former club in Brazil.
