Aloy Ejimakor, lawyer to embattled leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, has said there will be no trial of the agitator due to the manner he was rearrested and repatriated to Nigeria.
The constitutional lawyer wrote on Twitter: “Kanu’s trial is supposed to be OPPOSED, not monitored. Those of you wanting to monitor his trial or wishing him fair trial, thank you.
“But sorry to disappoint you: There won’t be any trial. Never. If any trial occurs, it’s those that renditioned him that will be on trial.”
The IPOB leader was brought back to Nigeria to continue his trial for treason before a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.
