Why is laying curse on people a preferred choice for most Nigerian Pastors?

The only way for most Nigerian Pastors to express themselves against anyone with a different view to theirs seems to be laying of curse. They look refined from outside but what comes out of their mouth is very disappointing. Coming up with a better and superior arguments against people of opposite view to yours surely is a better way to go.

No one should be above correction, and correction can come from anywhere irrespective of age or gender. Trying to use fear as a tool to suppress people with a different view to yours even when they are saying the truth is very very demonic. People should have every right to free speech in as much it doesn’t encourage or incite violence.

It’s just not healthy if we live in a society where some groups of people can just go about with outrageous statements in a bid to extort money from others in the name of religion.

Guys that goes about deceiving people, telling them they talk to God via a mobile phones, those that ask people to give $1000 multiplied by the numbers of years they’ve spent on earth, and others too that claimed God gave them the power to make people sleep and other ridiculous statements like that should and must be actively and aggressively condemned by every well meaning people.

Folding our collective hands while this is happening is not the right thing to do.  “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” ― Edmund Burke

Here’s a few relevant quotes from Dr. King:

“In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.”

“The ultimate tragedy is not the oppression and cruelty by the bad people but the silence over that by the good people.”

“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.”

“Cowardice asks the question, ‘Is it safe?’ Expediency asks the question, ‘Is it politic?’ But conscience asks the question, ‘Is it right?’ And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular but because conscience tells one it is right.”

When one with honeyed words but evil mind persuade the mob, great woes befall the state. That is exactly what is happening on the church in Africa and Nigerian in particular.

Withholding information is the essence of tyranny. Control of the flow of information is the tool of the dictatorship.

Silent acquiescence in the face of tyranny is no better than outright agreement.I decided it is better to scream. Silence is the real crime against humanity.

Silent acquiescence in the face of tyranny is no better than outright agreement.

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.
