Visually impaired man allegedly burnt to death by his younger brother over land in Anambra

The Coordinator of Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities, JONAPWD, Aguata branch, Mr. Mmaduabuchi Nnofu, has allegedly been killed by his brother over a piece of land.

Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS), said the blind man was the first male child of his family and was allegedly murdered and burnt beyond recognition by his younger brother, Mr. Onyedika Nnofu who is the last male child of four boys in the family on Sunday, January 30th, 2022, at Eziagulu village, Ekwulobia in Aguata Local Government Area.

A source who spoke to ABS under anonymity, explained that the prime suspect of the murder, Onyedika whom he described as someone who never heeds to advice, has been in conflict for long with Mmaduabuchi his brother, over a piece of land, and has on several occasions, threatened to kill the victim if he does not steer clear.

The Special Adviser to Governor Willie Obiano on Disability Matters, Barrister Chuks Ezewuzie, who confirmed the incident  described the the victim as a vibrant leader in disability community, and a blind person who can never hurt a soul.
