Singer, Davido’s first babymama, Sophia Momidu has spoken out against a recent skin lightening advert trending on social media.
The businesswoman called out the advertisers for showing a “naturally light skinned woman” (BBNaija Maria Chike) walking through a crowd of black people, including children, while they all look at her in wonder.
She then she questioned what kind of message such advert is passing to children who are dark skinned and further called out people who bleach their skin and extolled the beauty of the dark skin and thanked her mother for teaching her to love her skin.
