Hoodlums have have killed a 34-year-old postgraduate student of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Emmanuel Dauda Akukin after the assailants invaded Nasarawa Housing Estate along Makurdi/Jos road on Saturday night, October 24.
The Forensic and Correctional Psychology student was killed and they carted away valuables items as reported by Daily Trust.
NESCASTARS.COM further gathered that the assailants jumped over the fence at the backyard before gaining entrance into the estate around 10pm, stabbed him at the back of his neck before being strangled to death.
Spokesperson of the state police command, ASP Nansel Ramhan, said an investigation had been launched to ascertain the rationale behind the murder.
However, the state Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe, on Monday, October 25, paid a condolence visit to the family members of the deceased on behalf of Governor Abdullahi Sule as he sympathized with the father of the deceased, Mr Dauda Akuki-Ovedoh and his family and prayed the Lord grant the deceased eternal rest.
