Oyo State Govt suspends female student whose mother invaded school with thugs to beat teachers, parents during PTA meeting

The Oyo State Government has announced the suspension of a female student of Jericho High School, Ibadan.

 

The State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Barrister Rahman Abiodun Abdu-Raheem said this after a meeting with key Education stakeholders in Ibadan on Tuesday, November 30.

 

Abdu-Raheem said that the student with her mother invaded the school premises with hefty thugs and miscreants; assaulting a lmale student, teachers and other parents during an ongoing PTA meeting.

 

“The mayhem was said to be ignited by the girl’s mother and other accomplices, thereby, causing tension in the school. The state government is taking further action, to serve as deterrent to other unguided parents and wards,” he said.

 

He further said the present government has zero tolerance for impunity, while charging students, parents and all stakeholders to take advantage of Governor Seyi Makinde’s free qualitative education programs.
