The Federal Ministry of Finance says the fire incident at its Headquarters located in the Central Area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja occurred on the corridor of the basement involving an isolated battery pack.
The ministry said the building was not on fire, but only on the corridor of the basement and was quickly put out by security personnel on duty. The statement read;
