N35m recovered from armed robbers who raided Edo banks

About Thirty-five million Naira has reportedly been recovered from the armed robbers that raided four banks in Uromi, headquarters of Esan North-East Local government Area of Edo State on Thursday, February 24.

Report has it that after the robbers fled the scene, Ubiaja youths block their town road by the rail line, forcing the robbers to abandon their cash-laden vehicles off the rail line and flee in motorcycles.

The vehicles and cash recovered and were taken to Ubiaja police station and the total sum counted so far was pegged at N35 million.

Bello Kotongs, spokesperson of the state police command said the recovered money was currently in the custody of the police.
