Nolllywood Actor, Jide Awobona, who is popular for his role as Sam in the popular television series, Jenifa’s Diary, says it is not right to assume that all entertainers lead wild lives.
Speaking in a recent interview he said, “On entertainers leading wild lives, I can only speak for myself. I don’t lead a wild life and I have some colleagues in the entertainment industry who also don’t. I think being wild has more to do with individuals and not one’s profession. There are bankers, lawyers, and engineers that also lead very wild lives.”
The actor, who got married in 2019, also maintained that marriage hadn’t changed anything about him. He stated, “Marriage has not really changed anything about me. I am still myself and doing most of the things I used to do before I got married but I would say it has reduced my passion for cooking and taught me to be more patient.”
On the popular notion that actresses often got more opportunities than their male colleagues, Awobona said, “We need to break down what we mean by opportunities. But regardless, people tend to have soft spot for women. They get more attention than men, whether they are actresses or not.”
