Lionel Messi Hat-trick Breaks Cristiano Ronaldo’s La Liga Record as Barcelona thrash Mallorca 5 -2

Barcelona captain, Lionel Messi have broke yet another record by hitting his 35th La Liga hat-trick on Saturday as Barcelona thrashed Real Mallorca 5-2 to top the table ahead of their arc-rival Real Madrid.

A trio of vintage Messi, goal from Luis Suarez and Antoine Griezmann saw them seal all three points

Messi now has 12 goals this season, the highest in the division and one ahead of Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema.

Budimir two goals wasn’t enough for them to defeat the Laliga giant.

Former Real Madrid star Ronaldo had scored 34 La Liga hat-tricks in his nine-year-long stay in Spain but now Messi have over taken him.
