Kidnapped NIS spokesperson released

Edo state police command have confirmed the release of abducted spokesperson of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) Edo Command, Bridget Esene.

NEWCASTARS.COM learnt that the Police Public Relations Officer of the state, Chidi Nwabuzor, confirmed the development to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday but declined to comment on whether ransom was paid or not.

Recall that Eseme was kidnapped in Benin on Sunday and released at about 4pm today as she was seized in the Ikhueniro area of the state capital on her way to church around Agbor.

The Immigration official’s car was later recovered on Agbor bypass.
