Jigawa government locks down Kazaure after the state rerecords second Coronavirus case

Following the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) announcement of a confirmed second Coronavirus case Jigawa, the state government has announced a lockdown in Kazaure local Council.

NCDC had revealed that one case which was previously reported in Kano, was transferred to Jigawa State.

Governor Badaru Abubakar who confirmed the new case at a press briefing in Dutse, said that the lockdown will be effective from Monday midnight.

Abubakar  added that essential service providers are exempted from the lockdown, and grains will be distributed to the affected local government.
