I’m not paid to speak, Pogba replies his critics

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has hit back at former club captain Roy Keane saying his critics “can say what they want.”

Keane has been critical of the France international, branding him “a problem” ahead of the derby defeat to Manchester City on Wednesday.

Pogba, who has scored 16 goals this season and was named in the PFA team of the year, said he pays no attention to what is said in television studios when asked specifically about Keane’s comments.

“There’s no problem,” he told RMC. “They’re paid to say things in front of the camera. I’m just focused on what happens on the pitch.

“They can say what they want, they’re paid for that. I’m not paid to speak. I’m paid to be on the pitch and to fight for my team. That’s all.”
