Popular comic Yoruba actor, Olatayo Amokade, aka Ijebu, says if kissing in a movie will make him pass a positive message, he will do it.
NEWSCASTARS.COM learnt that he said this while speaking with Saturday Beats, he said, “Acting is my profession and I always try to pass a positive message. If passing a positive and reasonable message would come through me kissing, then I’ll definitely do it. It is called acting.”
On if people take him seriously in reality, he said, “Yes. I am a father of three beautiful kids and I’m also a husband. Being a comic actor is just a part of me; it’s within me. I am human just like everyone. There is always time for seriousness and also time to play.”
Ijebu, who was recently unveiled as an ambassador for the Lagos State Waste Management Authority, also spoke on his new position.
He said, “I feel great and also challenged. I have been to different countries and see how waste is effectively managed. I believe this collaboration with LAWMA will give me wings to impact positively and be effective with my creativity. I am ready for the task.”
On how his wife reacts when she sees him play romantic roles, he said, “First, I want to thank God for giving me a best friend as a wife. When you marry someone who completely understands you and your job, there wouldn’t be much problems. Also, no matter the role I play, she knows I am coming back home when it’s a wrap. I also love singing and dancing.”
