Nigerian singer, Ahmedu Augustine, aka Blackface, says the media brought his brand to ground zero.
The member of the former music group, Plantashun Boiz, said in a recent interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo in his show, #WithChude.
He said: “The media has succeeded in bringing the brand Blackface Naija to ground zero.”
“No Nigerian or any award has given me one award. I’m the one they don’t want to talk about but it’s all good.
“I came into the music industry to make music for the fans. I did not come to the industry because I wanted to get rich.
“But as far as the people embrace the music, then who cares?
“I don’t worry about the media. I just make music for them. I talk about it; creepy agents everywhere. They are all creepy agents and I make music with them.”
Blackface was known to have an age-long beef with his former group member, 2baba and they reunited few months ago during the tribute service for popular singer, late Olanrewaju Fasasi, fondly known as Sound Sultan.
