Borussia Dortmund striker, Erling Haaland, has said he cannot not be compared to Barcelona’s Lionel Messi and Juventus’s Cristiano Ronaldo saying the duo are the best players of all time.
The Norway international, however, said that he has to improve a lot to reach the level of either Messi or Ronaldo.
Speaking whilst away on international duty with Norway ahead of their World Cup qualifier tie against Gibraltar on Wednesday, he said:
“The media are the ones who write about it [and compare me with Messi and Ronaldo], I don’t focus on those things,” “I want to improve every day. Ronaldo and Messi, I don’t need to talk about them, they are the best of all time.
“They are still very far away.”
Haaland has scored 33 goals in 30 matches in all competitions for Dortmund so far this season.
