Delta State Police Command has arrested one Okwudili Obi and three others for multiple murders as confirmed by the acting Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Bright Edafe, on Thursday in Asaba.
He stated, “On Wednesday, April 14, 2021, police operatives attached to the Delta State Intelligence Bureau, after a series of intelligence gathering, with the assistance of the command’s tactical teams, stormed the Asem-Uku community in the Ndokwa East LGA and successfully arrested one Okwudili Obi and three others.
“Okwudili is the notorious principal suspect in a case of multiple murders and arson that led to the destruction of many houses in the community,
“The suspect, Okwudili Obi, happens to be one of the principal suspects involved in the murder of one Sunday Nwachukwu and Fidelis Amani, who were allegedly murdered sometime in the year 2017 in the Asemo-Uku community.
“He and his cohorts have been on the wanted list of the command. Exhibits recovered from him include three cutlasses, six daggers, one long sword, charms wrapped with red/white blood stained cloths.”
Edafe added that the case was still under investigation with a view to arresting Obi’s accomplices, who are currently at large.
