Fire guts bus in Kwara

The Kwara State Fire Service have saved a commercial bus from total destruction in Ilorin, the state capital.

The incident, according to the spokesman of the fire brigade, Hassan Hakeem Adekunle, occurred on Friday, at about 19:59hrs, opposite Challenge Bookshop, Challenge Area in Ilorin, Kwara State.

However, firemen were able to put out the ravaging fire on time and prevented other passing vehicles from the inferno.

The leader of the fire service crew said “the bus just arrived Ilorin from Lagos this Friday night before it eventually caught fire and got burnt very severely.

“All in all, no life was lost in the incident,” he stated.

The Director, Kwara State Fire Service, Prince Falade John Olumuyiwa urged the general public never to hesitate to call the fire brigade for rescue operations in case of any fire emergency in their environments.
