Osun State Police Command have arrested two suspects in connection to the killing of Hassan Adedeji, a HND graduate of the Federal Polytechnic, Ede, and a commercial motorcyclist.
Osun State Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola said two persons were arrested in connection with the killing but Rasheed Okoolu, the prime suspect in the killing, was still on the run, adding that another dead body was discovered in his den when police invaded it.
In her words, “The prime suspect, Rasheed Okoolu killed a man in his den. We discovered the body of a man chained and dead in his den. Police are everywhere in the Ede community where the killings were carried out to ensure that he is arrested and brought to justice. Our men are on ground tackling cultists in that axis. The situation is under control.”
Hassan, a graduate of Banking and Finance was gunned down, together with a commercial motorcyclist by a suspected cultist in the early hours of Thursday at Agbalemobode area, as he went to purchase marijuana.
This led to student of the school staging violent protests which heightened tension in the town, forcing several business owners to close abruptly for the day.
