Jackson, who signed a three-year, $33.5 million deal with the Bucs back in 2017, hinted that he was on his way out of Tampa Bay just hours before the trade was announced.
He posted the following message on instagram: “Tampa it was a great experience, but things didn’t work out !! Looking forward to my next destination .. 👀 👀 Stay Tuned #0ne0fone”
Jackson caught 41 passes for 774 yards and four touchdowns last season, and led the NFL in yards per catch with 18.9 yards per reception.
During his first stint with the Eagles, which spanned from 2008-2013, Jackson established himself as one of the most electric receivers and return men in the game. He earned Pro Bowl honors in three of his six seasons in Philly, which also included the unforgettable “Miracle At The Meadowlands” on December 19, 2010.
The Eagles finished with a 9-7 record last season and defeated the Chicago Bears in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs, before being bounced by the New Orleans Saints the following week.
Jackson can look forward to catching passes from Carson Wentz, who is currently recovering from a stress fracture in his back but is expected to be ready to roll once the new season starts up.
