Bandits kill 35, burn family alive in Plateau

Unknown gunmen suspected to be bandits reportedly killed no fewer than 35 persons in Yelwa Zangam community, Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.


NEWSCASTARS.COM gathered from DAILY POST report that armed bandits attacked the community in the early hours of Wednesday after they disabled the bridge leading to the community preventing any access to help before launching their assault.


It was also learnt that an entire family was burnt alive in their home.


This comes barely 24 hours after President Muhammadu Buhari pledged support for victims of violent clashes in Plateau State.


Plateau State Police Command, Ubah Ogaba confirmed the incident to DAILY POST. He said, ”there was an incident at Yelwa but I have not received full details yet.”
