Armed robbers hijacked the case file on Igboho’s aides – DSS

The Department of State Services (DSS) on Wednesday September 8, claimed that armed robbers has hijacked its case file on the fundamental rights enforcement suit that was filed by detained associates of Yoruba nation activist, Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho.

Counsel for the Department of State Service, I. Awo said this while appearing before a Federal High Court in Abuja as he told Justice Obiora Egwuatu that the case file was stolen after his colleague boarded a vehicle belonging to the One Chance operators then applied for adjournment of the case.

persons arrested at Igboho’s residence on July 1 by the DSS, had approached court to seek enforcement of their fundamental rights.

While Justice Egwuatu granted bail to the 12 detainees, the DSS released only 8 of the suspects, claiming that four of the detainees; Amudat Habitat Babatunde, Abideen Shittu, Jamiu Noah Oyetunji and Bamidele Sunday were deeply involved in Igboho’s alleged criminal activities, and were “suspected to be stockpiling arms to take over the South Western states in the country”.
